It’s almost as if a dial turned as September arrived - the weather is autumnal to say the least. After harvesting a summer bounty of lettuce and beans, we have been pulling up huge carrots, digging potatoes and beets, putting things by. The flurry of fall, will soon be finished, but right now it’s time for salmon fishing, fall wine festivals and trips to places like Portugal where grapes are still stomped for strong wines, and harvest time is truly an iconic, communal event. Stay tuned.
